He lived in 1825 at No 9 Quay Road, Charlestown. He was a ship owner in 1830 at Charlestown, Cornwall. He wrote a letter to his employer respecting his son becoming his successor on 10 Dec 1839. He died on 7 Feb 1840 at Charlestown, Cornwall, at age 72. He was buried on 12 Feb 1840 at St Austell, Cornwall.
